About
Nick's Pro Shop is the only independent pro shop in Maine, meaning it is not actually located within a bowling center. What does that mean for you? More flexibility with hours of operation, and working around your schedule to meet all of your bowling needs.
Nick is a life long bowler. He started bowling as soon as he could walk. He bowled his 7th perfect 300 game on February 7th, 2022. Along with other bowling accalades that include multiple league and tournament championships, as well as maintaining a perennial average between 215 and 220, his passion for the sport is quite evident, and he's always excited to share his knowledge of the sport with anyone willing to learn.

My Bowling Style
My bowling style seems to always be in a constant state of change, if that makes any sense. I've been coached by great coaches like Joe Slowinski and Mo Pinel, and I'm always trying to make it better. The name of the game is how to efficiently transfer energy to the ball without having to completely exert yourself. The top videos are from years ago and the bottom one is the most recent. Probably the biggest difference is I no longer take 4 steps and I don't hop before taking my first step. This was achieved by adding a 5th step. I notice other small changes from one to the next like more lateral spine tilt and more shoulder drop, but I find that my current style has given me more revolutions, more side rotation and a little more axis tilt, creating a ball motion that is strong but able to hold up for three games.
